Climate Finance
Climate Finance explores the financial strategies, investment mechanisms, and policy tools used to fund climate solutions and support a transition to a low-carbon economy. Participants will gain a practical understanding of how public, private, and philanthropic capital can be leveraged to advance renewable energy, climate resilience, environmental justice, sustainable infrastructure, and community-led development initiatives.
Through real-world case studies and applied learning, participants will examine emerging funding opportunities including green bonds, tax incentives, impact investing, community development finance, federal climate investments, and environmental justice grant programs. The course also explores how historically underserved communities can access and benefit from climate-related funding opportunities while advancing equitable economic development.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify climate finance resources, evaluate funding opportunities, understand key investment frameworks, and develop strategies to support climate adaptation, mitigation, and community wealth-building initiatives.
