Climate Justice Alignment Initiatives

Black Faith leaders from all denominations who have organized and advocated for environmental justice and equity for our community.

We are Black professionals in the growing green economy organizing to share resources to remove barriers to ownership and employment opportunities in the green economy. Our renewable energy focuses include wind, water, solar, and thermal.

We are victims of the predatory criminal justice system in America and are organizing our resources to liberate our fellow brothers and sisters from the grips of the system.

We are members of a historically overlooked demographic that are organizing to elevate our collective voices in the environmental justice space and advocate for equity for our community.

We are a group of labor, social justice, and climate/environmental justice organizations determined to advocate for Black workers where they live, work, play, learn and worship for their inclusion and benefit from a just transition.

Together we are working to execute collaborative action between Afri-Descendant groups with shared interests towards the outcome of advancing climate justice mitigation and adaptation policies and practices globally.

Black Veterans, especially Black Women are often overlooked. Their existence, narrative leadership, skills, and talents should be showcased. Now Veterans are deployed many times to provide natural disaster relief,placing their lives unnecessarily at risk nationally and globally. This is expected to continue as the climate keeps changing. Let us together create Just Transition pathways of opportunities.

There are a large percentage of people of the African Diaspora from Africa, Caribbean and Latin America that have migrated and continue to migrate to the United States and beyond, the issues vary but the root cause is the same, climate change. We can look at the pathways around a Just Transition for migrants, refugees and their descendants abroad.
