Desiree’ Barber
Assistant to the Chief Programs Officer
Desiree’ Barber is the Assistant to the Chief Programs Officer with the Chisholm Legacy Project.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the LeMoyne-Owen College and a M.A.T from Relay Graduate School of Education. While being focused on her academics in Memphis, Tennessee, Desiree’ found a passion for advocating and helping those fighting social and environmental injustices from various areas in the city. She worked diligently with the Children’s Defense Fund’s Freedom Schools program for nine years to help students and families who were of urban communities.
Desiree’ has a background in education and administration aide. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Roderick Jr., and their son, Roderick III.
