Her career is a tapestry woven with diverse experiences, spanning higher education, elementary and secondary education, various leadership roles, business consulting, and multiple thriving entrepreneurial ventures. 

LaShawn is an impassioned advocate for equitable access to education, resources, fair treatment, and accessibility, particularly for disadvantaged populations. Beyond her professional pursuits, she derives joy from reading, embarking on outdoor adventures, engaging in spirited games of spades, and crafting novel experiences.  LaShawn, being a lover of people cherishes moments with family, especially her son who keeps her on her toes, her husband who supports her in every endeavor, friends, and even strangers.
